Sun Photos

The sun is the largest source of light we know.  Sunny means happy, light, and bright; it means summer, warmth, and life. These three pictures use the sun dramatically to enhance the photos. The first two treat then sun like an object, something that could actually be held or kicked. For me, the unreality is intriguing and fantastical. In the third photo, the sun automatically draws my eye to the center of the picture then to the girl with the surf board. Perhaps its just the beach girls speaking inside me, but something about the picture seems really elegant although surfing big waves definitely isn't. Either way, enjoy (:

Photographic Series

Cindy Sherman's photos have the same effect as a black and white film stop.

I copied Aliya and tried to change eye color on photoshop. It looks pretty unrealistic but it worked. I can't get the picture I manipulated to upload but here's the link! http://www.photochopz.com/forum/member-photoshop-tutorials/29313-changing-eye-color-quick-easy-photoshop-tutorial.html

Composite

I only have a million and one tiny little ideas for really neat composite pictures! I can't decide where I want to go with it at all. These are two of my favorites and I'm really just posting this to show to my teacher when I talk to her about my ideas. Neither of these are my pictures.

Photoshop Tutorial

During the process of editing my Man of la Mancha project I came across a great tutorial to make just one color in a picture stand out. Although this effect has the danger of being super cheesy, I've also found some really cool ways to use it I'll try and upload later (but because they're photoshop images they might be too big).

Here is it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk0_vYsZYQY

and there are some cool examples that ARE NOT MY PICTURES! ^^

The most magical place on earth.

I was unbelievably luck and SO EXCITED to spend the end of my christmas break in what I might be able to consider my Mecca. Some of the most influential forces (besides my family) in my childhood were Harry Potter and the classic Disney movies. I was taught to dream, and believe with out seeing, what real friendship is. I have watched those movies and reread the books countless times and forever will love the magic. This trip was the best christmas present in the world.
